1. There are four cities that are best

Sanur

Is quiet,romantic,very relaxing and friendly, walking distance to the beach,has daily trips snorklink,scuba and to Lonbongan Island,also is the lowest price in hotels and restaurants.It is on the western side calm waters.

Kuta

very much like any beach city,all of the theme parks are here,lots of shopping,beatiful beaches, A must for the surfers world class surfing 30 minute barrel rides.

Ubud

It is between the coasts in but has amazing forest,art many nice suites.

NusaDua

Very nice and romantic it has many 5 star hotels it is on the south western tip,lots of attractions waterfall is here.

Money

1. Bali is part of Idnonesia ,although you would never guess if you visis Jakarta first. But, the currency is the IRp Indonesia Rupiah.




As you can see your money goes very far in Bali as well as everywhere in Indonesia. I recommend not having and foreign money exchange your money for Rupiahs you will get a better deal with the venders and drivers.

2. Most places and hotels have Wifi internet.

3. Laundry service it is usually cheaper to find a local store they are very close to the hotel - they are generally much cheaper. Of course , hotel has service too. If you stay at Alits in Sanur the rooms include washer/dryer.

   1. Artwork, Gold, Silver is cheaper and bigger selection in Ubud
   
   
   2. Clothing is cheaper in Sanur - But you must haggle. Pick many things don't talk about price then at the end ask rapah how much ? It will be too much, look shocked wow that is expensive I thought I was in Bali after 3 drops in price you got it !
   3. Silks and exotic cloth go to Denpasar

5. Depending on what country you are coming from you will need power adapter.
6. If your hotel doesn't provide an electric kettle for tea you can pick one up at local store there are many there remember whater is not good to drink.

Food

1. If you have never tried Balinese cuisine you are in for a treat, they do serve pork unlike most Indonesian islands;But, typically you will find great fish,and chicken meals with fresh vegetables and somewhat spicey.Everything is Bali is served fresh from the ocean.
2. Prices very where you go, Sanur the prices are the lowest 4000-8000 Rp for a typical dinner. Breakfast and lunch is half of that.
3. Kuta has many varieties of cusine and prices are slighly higher there.
