Bogor is very mountainous so on a hot Jakarta day it is very refreshing and only about an hour away by car its actually a nice drive, but take train if you don't have a car. Indonesia drives on the right side very different for left side drivers. There are many nice hotels here Bogor would make a great place to get away from Jakarta for the weekend relax and communicate with nature.

There is a nice water park Called tajur katulampa great for the kids there are water rides,fish pond, a ride that they staps you in and slides down 20 or 30 meters, as well as a nice place to eat and shopping a warehouse of designer looking purses and bags at the most discounted prices ever.

All the kids love the water park and restaurant. There is a warehouse there full of designer bags.

Bogor has a lot of history with Independance there was a big battle many Indonesians lost their lives for Indonesian independance. There is a statue Kujang for those who fell for independance.

Bogor has a beautiful botanical garden it's really nice please where comfortable shoes and a picnic basket. This can be an all day event if you choose . First there is the beautiful palace, then the pond and lilies thousands of exotic trees then you drive over the bridge to see the amazing flowers .
