Bali temples

The Bali temples with its impressive split gate are the heart of the Island it shows the rich traditions haven’t changed in 1500 years. Offerings

temple offering and prayers are made in every Bali temple as they were over a 1500 years. In Bali the temples are located in everywhere including every home. In Bali the temples are more than a place for offerings and prayer , they are used for festivals and bali dances .

In Bali the temple translates to Pura, which means surrounded by walls. The split gate called Candi Bantar marks the entrance of all Bali temple, but they gate is everywhere as well.Balinese legend has it that they represent the two halves of the mythical Mount Meru, which was split by Siwa to become Gunung Agung and Gunung Batur.
